About Me

Hello! I am Becca Beck.

I live in State College, PA with my wonderful husband and 3 beautiful boys. I’m originally from Columbus, Georgia and hold a BA in Theatre with a Dance minor. I have been teaching dance and theater classes for over 15 years. In 2020 I became a Restore Your Core® teacher and I am so excited to help others find function and strength in their core and pelvic floors.

How I came to RYC®

When I asked my OBGYN about possible prolapse and diastasis recti I was told, “well you had a baby, what did you expect?” A lifelong dancer, I taught ballet and jazz classes through my entire pregnancy. I felt fit. So while I did expect some changes to my body’s appearance, I didn’t expect changes to its functionality. I did not expect the heaviness I felt in my pelvis when I took my baby for a walk around the neighborhood. And I didn’t expect my tummy to feel like it was on fire when I lifted my arms over my head. The most the Dr. offered was kegals or surgery when I was done having children.

This did not seem right to me. I advocated and got a referral to a Pelvic Floor PT. And that helped to an extent but it still felt like a piece of the puzzle was missing.

Meanwhile I was seeing Ads and articles encouraging me to “get my body back” or “loose the mummy tummy,” and this felt equally unhelpful. I was not aware my body had left me? My body does not look like it did before kids and that is OK. I have extra skin and stretch marks and no exercise or magic lotion will change that. I didn’t want to invest in a program that was trying to sell me on the idea that my worth is dependent on returning to a body I had before children. My worth, and your worth, is inherent.

My doula recommended Restore Your Core® When I got into the program and the provided resources it was like a lightbulb went off. Finally someone was talking about my body as a whole connected system. I love that the culture of RYC® is body positive. There are no before and after pictures because it is not focused on looks but how you feel and how your body functions for what you want to do in life.

I am so excited to bring this work to women and others in my community. I cannot wait to help you move better and feel better.

I want you to know

  • You are beautiful

  • You are not broken

  • You are worthy

  • You are more capable than you think

“I love learning about RYC® with Becca, during class she helps me tune into different parts of my body, isolating movements and helping me become aware of how I move.”
